HYPE-D: Hypertension and Diabetes
Early Detection Initiative
HYPE- D - 4.0 Kado Village Outreach
On Saturday, 10 October 2026, the Funmilayo Florence Babalola (FFB) Foundation took our commitment to early detection and healthier communities to Kado Village, Abuja, where we provided free health screening services to more than 150 residents.
We attended to elderly and middle-aged men and women, as well as young people, providing them with important information about healthy living and the early detection of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
For us, outreach is about more than screening. It is about giving people the knowledge, information and support they need to take charge of their health and make informed decisions about their wellbeing.

What We Provided
- Blood pressure checks
- Blood sugar testing
- Body Mass Index (BMI) assessments
- Clinical consultations and micronutrient supplementation
- Health and nutrition counselling
"A special thank you to the journalists from Deutschlandradio who joined us to document the outreach and tell important stories about diabetes in Nigeria."
Together, we educate.
Together, we prevent.
Together, we save lives.
